PP

POLYPROPYLENE (GRAY PP) is a polymer from the polyolefin group.
It is obtained as a result of low-pressure polymerization of propylene. Polypropylene is one of the two most frequently used construction materials (along with polyethylene).

Trade names:

TECAFINE PP, BORALEN PP

Application:

elements of pipes and accessories (fittings), tanks
valve bodies
pumps
latches
structural elements for the construction of chemical devices
swimming pools
baths for galvanizing plants
gaskets

Properties of polypropylene:

lowest density among widely used polymers
high mechanical resistance
at room temperature almost completely resistant to:
acids, bases and salts and organic solvents
high tensile strength
approved for contact with food
weldability
can be easily processed with commonly available tools
