PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) is a material intended for sliding bearings with high mechanical strength. It is characterized by good electrical properties, good sliding properties, dimensional stability, high durability, high mechanical strength, minimal water absorption, physiologically neutral, self-extinguishing, abrasion resistance.

PET PROPERTIES:

high mechanical strength
low and constant coefficient of friction
physiological indifference
very high abrasion resistance (comparable or higher than in the case of polyamides)
very good dimensional stability
PET has excellent resistance to dirt
better resistance to acids than polyamide and polyacetal
good electrical insulating properties
